Skills Summary

My first working role was umpiring netball games. This role gave me many skills which I now use in my everyday life, it helped develop my confidence, working under pressure and ensuring I was always on the ball with my quick decisions. Next, I began to work at my local McDonalds store. Working here established a strong work ethic with excellent training in a number of different areas – customer service, procedures, cash handling and job rotation. The job rotation allowed me to work within the kitchen areas (food preparation) and  McCafe – giving me some training and experience working with coffees and other café practices. I am currently in shift Management training which will give me a whole new skill set which I am excited to learn and use within my new role.

Experience

McDonalds

Crew\Crew Trainer | December 2013 - Current

For part time work, I work at McDonalds (Pimpama). Through my last two years of school I was successfully able to maintain this job and balance my school work and social life. I started as a crew member and have now been promoted to Crew Trainer. I assist the Management Team in developing crew and promoting and maintaining the high standards expected of McDonald's staff. Working at McDonalds has taught me time management skills and developed further my communication skills. This job has given me a first hand experience of management within a business and has left me excited to learn more.

My role within McDonalds allows me to work with customers and develop my people management skills. I have also

experienced firsthand how a high demand business operates and deals with any problems which may arise. More

responsibility left me not only feeling rewarded but now gives me many new skills which I am able to learn and grow

from. I have had the experience to move around stores within my patch which has evolved my people skills.

Netball Umpiring

2012-2014

Before working at McDonalds, I umpired netball club games prior to earning my national C badge. Umpiring gave me

a lot of confidence in making quick decisions under pressure while dealing with conflict resolution.
